LUBBOCK, TX -- Craig Finlayson with a group called Friends of Legacy Play Village said the Legacy will shut down from Monday night through Thursday at noon for scheduled maintenance.  Finlayson said there was a major breech in the roof of one structure, and he also said parts of the playground just need some patching up as they get older.

Volunteers have already been lined up to do the repairs.  Legacy opened in 2002 inside of McAlister Park thanks to volunteered labor and donated material.  Friends of Legacy Play Village is a nonprofit entity to oversee the facility.
