Two local Red Cross volunteers are participating in a regional event that will demonstrate their abilities and teamwork.

Local volunteer Nick Rocha and Abilene volunteer Kathy Cheatham will attend the fourth annual Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) Road-E-O, alongside other volunteers from Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and several other states in the region.

This Saturday, drivers will have to navigate through a number of obstacles, including straight driving, a serpentine course, parallel parking, diminishing clearance, loading dock parking and 90 degree turns.

Awards will be presented to the best crews and drivers.
