LUBBOCK, TX - Monday morning, the Lubbock Police Department released a statement on the Nextdoor app concerning reports of shots fired Sunday evening in the Lakeridge area.
According to the statement, police arrested five people in connection to the shots fired calls.
The shots fired calls were in the area of 85th Street and Quinton around 7:15 p.m.
Below is the statement that was posted by LPD:
"Many people on Nextdoor are posting about hearing multiple gunshots over the weekend in the Lakeridge area. LPD has made five arrests in connection to those calls. Last night at approximately 7:15 p.m. we received multiple calls that shots had been fired in the area of 85th Street and Quinton. Officers were able to gather enough information on the suspects and tracked them down to a home in the 500 block of 50th Street. The four males believed to be involved in the multiple shots fired calls were arrested and charged with organized crime, possession of a stolen firearm and aggravated assault. Two of them had outstanding misdemeanor warrants. A fifth male at the home was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant."
Lubbock Police later released the names of the five arrestees. Their mugshots are located at the bottom of this article.

- Timothy Benavidez, 23
- John Lara, 25
Christopher Flores, Isaiah Lara, Bryan Benavidez and Timothy Benavidez are all charged with engaging in organized crime, aggravated assault, theft of firearm. Timothy Benavidez also had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants, LPD said.
John Lara is charged with possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
