LPD Identifies Suspect in Fatal South Lubbock Shooting

LUBBOCK, TX - Lubbock Police Department has identified Prince Tariq Richards, 19, as the suspect in Sunday's fatal shooting of Peter Caballero, 20, in South Lubbock.

Richards, also known as Skrappy, is considered armed and dangerous.

He is approximately 5'09” and weighs about 150 pounds, according to LPD.

Call 911 immediately if seen or call 806-741-1000 with any information on his possible whereabouts.

Richards will be charged with a first-degree felony murder charge for the shooting that took place at 99th Street and Avenue V.

On Monday morning, LPD said Caballero "was on foot chasing a suspect in a blue passenger car who had reportedly just robbed his friend in the area of 2200 99th Street.”

Multiple shots were fired toward Caballero and another friend, according to LPD. Caballero was hit and later died at a local hospital.
