LUBBOCK, TX - On Monday, Lubbock Police released the name of a man who suffered life-threatening injuries in a pedestrian accident. Police said Horace Dean, 49, was still listed in critical condition at University Medical Center.
Police responded to the intersection of East 14th Street and Guava Avenue Friday at 12:15 a.m.
Police said, “Through their initial investigation, it appears Dean attempted to cross the street and was struck by a Ford Focus traveling northbound on Guava Avenue.”
Police also said, “The driver of the Ford Focus called 911 and has been cooperating with investigators.”
There was no mention one way or the other on possible citations and police did not yet release the name of the driver.
