LPD: Suspect Still on the Run Following Shooting at Local Hookah Lounge Early Saturday

LUBBOCK, TX - The Lubbock Police Department reported Sunday a suspect remains on the lam in connection with a shooting at a local hookah lounge early Saturday morning. 

The incident occurred in the 1700 block of Texas Avenue around 2:10 a.m. at Eleve's Hookah Lounge.

Officers were dispatched to the scene after reports of shots fired in the area of 18th Street and Buddy Holly Avenue.

Lubbock Police said three people were shot inside the lounge.

Witnesses told authorities the suspect was involved in an altercation with several patrons, pulled out a gun and then began shooting.

The suspect then fled the scene.

One shooting victim was transported to Covenant Medical Center. A second victim was transported to University Medical Center. The third victim was taken by private vehicle to UMC.
