LPD: Teen Wanted for Murder of Ezekial Gonzales Arrested Early Saturday

LUBBOCK, TX (NEWS RELEASE) - At approximately 12:40 a.m., Lubbock Police Department patrol officers arrested 16-year-old Christopher Hernandez who was wanted for murder.

Dispatch received information Hernandez was possibly in the area of East 8th Street and Oak Avenue. When officers arrived they located multiple people who had outstanding warrants. Those four individuals, 26-year-old Korinna Castro, 23-year-old Briana Mendoza, 19-year-old Joe Gonzales, and 18-year-old Gomesindo Perez were all arrested.

Additional information led officers several blocks away to East 7th Street and Beech Avenue where Hernandez was taken into custody without incident.

Castro – 3 outstanding misdemeanor warrants
Gonzales – 2 outstanding misdemeanor warrants
Perez – 2 outstanding misdemeanor warrants
Mendoza – 1 outstanding misdemeanor warrant and Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution
