Lubbock Emergency Crews Respond to Accident Between SUV, Motorcycle

LUBBOCK, TX – A motorcycle driver was transported to the hospital with serious injuries after a traffic accident in South Lubbock Saturday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the 2600 block of 82nd Street around 2:00 p.m. for an accident between an SUV and a motorcycle. 

An videographer, on the scene, reported motorcycle was pinned underneath the front of the SUV.

Emergency responders did request the jaws-of-life but it unconfirmed at this time if they were used for extraction. Police did confirm that crews had to lift the vehicle off the motorcycle and the driver.

The motorcycle driver was transported by EMS to University Medical Center with serious injuries. The identity of the driver is unknown at this time.

Lubbock Police are continuing to investigate the accident.
