Lubbock Father Admits Sexual Conduct with His Adult Daughter

LUBBOCK, TX - A Lubbock County man, Bobby Van Perryman, 46, was sentenced to 10 years in prison last week for prohibited sexual conduct with a relative.

Perryman and his daughter, Brooke Ashlee Perryman, 29, of Lubbock, were both indicted in August for their sexual conduct with each other.

They were also both indicted together in a 2016 burglary case.

The investigation into prohibited sexual conduct started on June 30, 2016.  Brooke’s estranged husband filed a police report saying that Bobby was stalking.

The police report said, “[The victim] stated around May 15th [Bobby Van Perryman] paroled out of TDCJ to his house.  [The victim] stated [Mr. Perryman] began to do drugs again and acting very irrational around his children.”

During that investigation, police found that Bobby and Brooke had sexual conduct together on the same day as the police report.

Bobby Van Perryman was convicted for a 2011 burglary case and he has a long, long list of criminal charges over the years.  The 2016 burglary case was dropped as part of his guilty plea last Thursday.

Brooke Perryman’s cases for both burglary and prohibited sexual conduct with a relative were still pending Monday.  Court records said she was scheduled for plea-bargain negations on February 14.

Bobby Van Perryman remained in the Lubbock County Detention Center on Monday.  Brooke Perryman was out of jail on bond.
