LUBBOCK, TX - Victor Molinar, Jr., 29, was sentenced to two years in prison Wednesday after a jury found him guilty of sexual assault of a child.
Molinar was indicted on allegations dating back to December of 2014. He was accused of having sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl.
Police were called to the 8200 block of Lynnhaven Avenue for the report of a disturbance.
Molinar was staying on the couch at the girl’s home. The mother woke up in the early morning hours to discover there had been sexual contact between her daughter and Molinar.
In court this week, Molinar told the jury he was sorry. He did not directly admit to the allegations in court, but did say he was sorry and requested leniency.
The maximum penalty for his conviction was 20 years in prison.
The accident occurred in the 5200 block of Avenue Q around 6:40 p.m.
