LUBBOCK, TX - A grand jury on Tuesday indicted Joshua Ali Robledo, 20, of Lubbock for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
The exact age of the child was not listed in court records, but the indictment said she was “younger than six years of age.”
In July, Lubbock Police were called to a local emergency room for the report of a child sexual assault. The girl was under examination for evidence of sexual assault. Police were told that the incident happened at a residence in Central Lubbock.
Seemingly out of nowhere, the child told her mother that Robledo and two others had touched her inappropriately. The other two were, because of their age, listed as juvenile offenders. They were taken into custody but beyond that, the juvenile records are not available.
In a police report, an officer wrote, “During my interview with Joshua Robledo he admitted to sexually assaulting [the girl] and a [another girl].”
The details of what the little girl described are too graphic to be reported here.
There was physical evidence, according to court records, to back up the girl’s outcry of sexual abuse.
Robledo was indicted last month for hitting a woman who was more than 80 years old. Robledo was held Tuesday in the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling $200,000.
