Lubbock Police Arrest Man for Thursday Morning Burglaries

LUBBOCK, TX (PRESS RELEASE) -- Today (July 31st), at about 10:30 am, Lubbock Police received a call of a Burglary in progress at 4106 109th St. Detective Bryan DuBois was conducting proactive burglary suppression and responded along with patrol units. Det. DuBois observed a suspicious vehicle exit an alley in the neighborhood, and conducted a traffic stop. Further investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle had an outstanding warrant, and items from residential burglaries that had apparently occurred this morning were located in the vehicle. With the assistance of other burglary suppression detectives as well as patrol officers, numerous victims of the residential burglaries were located in the area. At the time of press release, detectives are attempting to locate other victims in the area as well.
Residents in the neighborhoods around Indiana and Quaker Avenues, between 98th to 130th Streets, are encouraged to immediately check for signs of residential burglary that may be related to this morning's spree. If a residential burglary is believed to have occurred, please contact the LPD at 775-2865 and have an officer respond.
