LUBBOCK, TX - Police report a man was attacked outside his Central Lubbock home early Saturday morning.
The incident occurred in the 2800 block of 38th Street around 3:30 a.m.
Authorities told EverythingLubbock.com the victim opened the front door of his residence to walk outside and observed the suspect standing on his front porch.
The suspect them attacked the victim with an unknown cutting instrument.
The victim suffered cuts on his stomach and left forearm.
The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
Three hours later, police said the victim contacted 911 and informed them of the incident.
The victim was transported to Covenant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
