Flohr waived a detention hearing - meaning, he gave up the right to petition the court for the chance to post bond and get out of jail.
Flohr was arrested in Hockley County last month after an investigation by Lubbock Police. Florh was visiting family in Hockley County, and during that visit he went to a T-Mobile store in Lubbock to upgrade his cell phone. Court records said while transferring information from the old phone to a new one, a T-Mobile employee noticed that Florh had collected child pornography. Specifically the court records said Flohr had pornography of himself and a girl less than 12-years-old who was with him in the store.
Court records said Flohr confessed that he had sexual contact with the girl in Phoenix approximately three years ago. He also confessed to using his phone to record pictures and video of the sexual conduct.
In late July, Flohr was transferred from the Hockley County Jail to the Lubbock County Detention Center. If convicted of transportation of child pornography, Flohr faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
