Man Died After "Attempted Murder/Suicide" in South Lubbock

Updated for LPD statement Tuesday afternoon.

LUBBOCK, TX - Officials confirmed on Tuesday that a man died after a shooting early Monday morning in South Lubbock.  

Police were called at 2:48 a.m. to the 3200 block of 110th Street for what was later described as an “attempted murder/suicide.” 

Police on Monday said, “Officers located both a male and a female with gunshot wounds.”

After this story was initially published, Lubbock Police issued an updated statement. It said:

“The injured male, 25-year-old Bo Cowling, was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The female victim, 25-year-old Brittney Webb, was transported with serious injuries, however they are not believed to be life threatening.” 

Police also said no arrests or charges are expected.

Webb continued to recover Tuesday at UMC.
