Movie Night at Maxey Park Starts June 13

LUBBOCK, TX (PRESS RELEASE) -- Grab a blanket, pack up the kids and watch a movie out under the stars! For the third year, Maxey Community Center is hosting their Movie Nights at Maxey Park, and each month a different Classic Disney movie will be featured from June through September! The series kicks off with the 1979 original version of “The Muppet Movie” on Friday, June 13, 2014, beginning at dusk or approximately 9:00 p.m. This year’s movie night sponsors are Lubbock KIDS Dental and Mi Casita Nursing and Rehabilitation. Families are encouraged to bring blankets or low-backed lawn chairs to enhance their viewing experience. Concessions will be available or bring your own snacks!

Maxey Community Center is located at 4020 30th Street. They are open Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - Noon and 1:00 - 8:00 p.m., Fridays 8:30 a.m. - Noon and 1:00 - 6:00 p.m., as well as on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. For more information, call the center at (806) 767-3796.
