LUBBOCK, TX -- A nationally-known activist will be the keynote speaker for the 57th annual meeting of the Lubbock-based Plains Cotton Growers on April 4 in the Civic Center. Bruce Vincent has been Timberman of the Year in Montana, and National Forest Activist of the Year. Vincent also received the Presidential Preserve America Award from President George W. Bush.

“His current activities represent a family commitment to responsible environmentalism,” the PCG website says.

Also at the annual meeting John Maguire, National Cotton Council Vice President for Washington Operations, will offer insight into the 2014 Farm Bill and other federal regulations.
