LUBBOCK, TX - The Lubbock Sheriff's Office wants to make the public aware of a dangerous drug that has been seized in Lubbock. The drug is called IKEA ecstasy pills.
The pills are blue on one side and yellow on the other. The word "IKEA" is also stamped on the pills.
LSO said there is currently an ongoing investigation over the drug therefore officials "can’t get into the case at all due to it being a very active federal investigation."
Reports about the drug state the bi-layer pills contain more than 500 milligrams of ecstasy in just one pill.
This means IKEA ecstasy pills are strong and some people have had to seek urgent medial attention after using the drug.
Other reports show that the drug has been used in Europe and as of mid-february the drug made its way to the United States.
