Police Looking for Suspect After Report of Rifle and Shots Fired

LUBBOCK, TX - Lubbock Police were called to an apartment complex near 54th Street and Aberdeen Avenue Wednesday evening.  There had been a report of someone firing a rifle at or near a business at 52nd Street and Slide Road. 

A reporter on the scene said callers reported an AK-47, but that has not been seen or confirmed by police officers.

A second business near the apartments said police were looking for an armed man in a black shirt and a black hat with red lettering.  A photojournalist said police responded with guns drawn.    

As of 8:10 p.m., there have been no reports of injuries.  

A photojournalist and a reporter are working to get more information.
