Police Release Name of Victim After Deadly Crash on 19th Street

LUBBOCK, TX - Late Monday morning, Lubbock Police released the name of the victim in a deadly weekend crash. 

She was identified as Tanya Jones, 55.

Maxwell Ezell, 24, was arrested for intoxication manslaughter.  Police said Ezell was driving a Chevy Camaro westbound in in the 6200 block 19th Street.  Police said the Camaro struck the back of a Mazda traveling west in front of him.

Jones was driving the Mazda at the time of the collision.  Police said she was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Ezell was held Monday in the Lubbock County Detention Center in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
