LUBBOCK, TX -- An estimated 120 homes or businesses in Central Lubbock lost power late Monday afternoon.  An LP&L spokesman said power was restored to most before 6:00 pm, and he also said a car hitting a power pole might be the cause.

The outage began just before 5:00 pm.
The outage spanned as far west as 45th Street and Utica Avenue; and as far east as 44th Street and Joliet Avenue.  The outage was mostly between 42nd and 46th Streets.
