UPDATE: Shooting at Clovis library, Victims being treated in Lubbock

CLOVIS, NM - Clovis Police say two people were killed after a person walked into Clovis-Carver City Library and opened fire. The shooter has been identified as Nathaniel Jouett.

Four others were hurt.

Police were called out to an active shooter at around 4:00 pm Mountain Standard Time. The suspect was confronted quickly by Clovis police officers and the suspect surrendered to them.

Three of the victims were taken to a nearby hospital and then flown to the University Medical Center in Lubbock. One victim was driven to UMC. Two of the four shooting victims are in critical condition according to officials with University Medical Center.

Police would not confirm the name or age of suspect. The names of victims were also not confirmed.Witness, Sam Nathabong said he was inside of the library during the shooting, in a study room when he heard what he thought was balloons popping for a birthday party. 

"As gun shots got louder, I look out and I see this young white male holding a pistol just unloading and shooting and thats when I knew it was for real nad someone was out to kill somebody," Nathabong said.
