LUBBOCK, TX – On Wednesday the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Department announced a $1,000 Crime Line reward for information leading to the arrest Randy “Allen” Williams, 49, of Lubbock.

Williams escaped from a work detail at the county’s garage on Tuesday. As a low-risk offender he was allowed to work outside the Lubbock County Detention Center and while at work officials said he started a fire in the garage. The fire was used a diversion so he could steal a county-owned pickup truck and escape. The truck was found at 84th Street and Ash Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

Williams, as of early Wednesday afternoon, was still on the loose. He was originally in custody for theft, DWI, and possession of a small quantity of controlled substance.

Anyone with information on Williams can call Crime Line at 806-741-1000.  A caller can remain anonymous and (if eligible) still collect a reward.
