LUBBOCK, TX - The second annual Team Luke Tennis Classic kicked off this weekend at the McLeod Tennis Center on the Texas Tech University campus.
The USTA Pro Circuit Collegiate Series event brings professional women's tennis to Lubbock for one week.
Qualifying rounds are taking place this weekend, with the doubles final scheduled on Friday and the singles final next Saturday.
All proceeds from the tennis classic will go to the Team Luke Foundation.
The Team Luke Foundation benefits families with children suffering from traumatic brain injuries.
On July 28, 2015, Luke Siegel was critically injured in a golf cart accident and suffered life threatening head and chest trauma. Luke battled for his life as a result of his TBI, traumatic brain injury and anoxic brain injury, but defied the odds and survived.
