LUBBOCK, TX (KAMC NEWS) - Are you a fan of South Plains politics? Here are your Talking Points for this week. 

The gears in Washington continue to grind slowly and lawmakers are promising are promising an improved CHIP insurance program. Can 400,000 Texas woman and children affected by this really trust those lawmakers to come though with their promise?

Next time you cast your vote in Lubbock County you'll be doing it on new machines. The old machines were in need of an upgrade and we have one just in time for November. We'll give your a closer look at the new machines that cost residents $6 million. 

Also, we'll have a recap all the local, state and national political news.

On a side note, today marks our two year anniversary of bringing you the broadcast each Sunday morning and evening here on KAMC.
