Texas Tech Friends of the Libraries to Host Did Quanah Parker Lie?

LUBBOCK, TX (NEWS RELEASE) -

WHAT:          
Texas Tech University Friends of the Libraries will host the presentation “Did Quanah Parker Lie?” by Paul H. Carlson, professor emeritus.                                                                                            

WHEN:          
5:30 p.m. Tuesday (June 20)

WHERE:        
Croslin Room, Texas Tech University Library

EVENT:         
Historian Paul H. Carlson will speak about the famous Native-American leader, Quanah Parker. He will discuss various scholars’ accusations of the Comanche chief not being forthcoming and truthful in several speeches he made in order to protect his family’s name.

Parking will be available in the south lot of the University Library. Friends of the Libraries also will be serving refreshments. RSVP for the presentation to Len Markham by emailing len.markham@ttu.edu.
