Texas Tech School of Law Hosting Wyoming Oil & Gas Conservation Commissioner

LUBBOCK, TX (NEWS RELEASE) -

The Texas Tech University School of Law will host Tom Fitzsimmons, commissioner of the Wyoming Oil & Gas Conservation, as part of its Energy Law Lecture Series.

EVENTS:
Tom Fitzsimmons, commissioner of the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation, will be the featured speaker for the Texas Tech School of Law Energy Law Lecture Series. Fitzsimmons will discuss "Regulating the Oil & Gas Industry in 2017."

Fitzsimmons served as president of Carbon Creek Energy until October 2016. Before forming Carbon Creek, Fitzsimmons served as Business Unit Leader for Legacy Reserves from 2008 to 2013. He founded several successful consulting groups, including Fitzsimmons Energy, Iron Creek Energy Group and CBM International Engineering.

He also served in various leadership positions with Marathon Oil and Fletcher Challenge Energy.

Fitzsimmons earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wyoming in 1992 and also earned an associate's degree from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
