LUBBOCK, TX -- The Bridge of Lubbock hosted its 6th Annual Bridge Bash on Saturday. The event is a back-to-school clothing giveaway offered to low-income families in Lubbock and the surrounding communities.

Through collaboration with VOICES of the South Plains Community Coalition, this event provided free clothing and school supplies to hundreds of families in preparation for the upcoming 2014-2015 academic year.

Experience Life supplied carnival foods for the event. First United Bank provided entertainment such as bounce houses and jumpers.

Through Full Armor Ministries and the community support, school uniforms will be given away during the event.

The Bridge of Lubbock is a privately funded, non-profit organization looking to restore the foundation of hope in the community. The organization offers Bridge 2 Success (B2S), a free Christian mentoring program for middle school and high school students. Reaching Our Kids (ROK) is an after-school mentoring program offered to elementary school students.

The Bridge of Lubbock also offers Project: Prom to provide free, gently-worn dresses to young women unable to purchase their own.
