LUBBOCK, TX -- Two men were sentenced Friday to prison related to drug bust in March of last year. Ruben Deleon of Plainview was sentenced to serve a little less than six years. Ira Newton Davis of Lubbock was sentenced to four years in federal prison.

Federal agents searched a home in the 5000 block of 14th Street after a confidential informant was able to arrange the purchase of methamphetamine from Simon Orlando Chavez of Lubbock. Agents seized two vehicles, bank accounts and “a sum of money equal to at least $400,000 in United States currency.”

Anthony Deleon of Lubbock was sentenced last month to almost five years in that same case. Tiffany Lashell Copley of Lubbock was charged in the case but pleaded out on an illegal gambling charge instead of drug-related charges; she must serve one year in prison.

Chavez and Jimmy Cordova will be the last defendants sentenced; they go to court on Friday.
