SUDAN, TX - Sudan Fire and EMS responded to a house fire Sunday morning before 6:30. Sudan Fire and EMS said on Facebook the address was in the 500 block of Hornet Drive.
“The house was fully involved with fire showing through the roof on arrival,” the Facebook post said. “Amherst Fire assisted with operations as well.”
Images showed the home to be gutted after the fire.
There was no mention of injuries and the South Plains Chapter of the American Red Cross says its volunteers were not called to that location.

Sudan Fire/EMS paged to report of structure fire at 500 Hornet Drive. The house was fully involved with fire showing through the roof on arrival. Defensive operations were initiated with 3 master streams. Amherst Fire assisted with operations as well.
The cause of this fire is under investigation.
