WILSON, TX -- On Thursday Wilson ISD administration removed its ban on teachers Patricia Johnson and Michelle Story from attending events such as graduation and sports activities with their children.

Story and Johnson will also able to drop off and pick up their children from school.

After a dispute with the Wilson ISD administration the two teachers were placed on paid leave, and banned from school property and events. In order to attend these events they needed to obtain permission on a case-by-case basis from Superintendent Russell Schaub.

The teachers hired Lubbock-based attorney Kevin Glasheen who then filed a lawsuit in State District Court to get the teachers their jobs back.

In a written statement Glasheen said the two teachers are pleased with Thursday's development. Part of that lawsuit was a temporary restraining order, however Glasheen states he will not pursue the restraining order because the teachers are now allowed to attend events with their children. The lawsuit, Glasheen said, will still proceed.
