CARSON COUNTY, TX (KAMR/KCIT) - DPS seized more than 12 pounds of meth Sunday after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County.
At 8:49 a.m., a DPS Trooper stopped a 2000 Nissan Xterra traveling east on I-40 near Conway, for a traffic violation.
The Trooper discovered multiple plastic-wrapped bundles of meth inside the spare tire. The meth is worth $1 million.
Lidia Baca-Sandoval and Stephanie Rochin-Cota, both of Phoenix, were arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Baca-Sandoval, 27, and Rochin-Cota, 21, were transported and booked into the Carson County jail.
The drugs allegedly were being transported from Phoenix to Oklahoma City.
