AUSTIN, TX - According to the CBS affiliate in Austin, KEYE, and other sources, Florentino Herrera, 48, tried to hide cocaine under his belly fat during a DWI stop.
Online records from the Travis County Correctional Complex confirm that Herrera was arrested in the early morning hours of December 31 for DWI 3rd or More, and tampering/fabricating physical evidence.
According to KEYE, Austin Police pulled over Herrera after a rapid lane change along North Lamar Blvd. Herrera admitted to having two Crown and Cokes.
According to KEYE, “Police say that Herrera was caught on camera in the patrol car trying to destroy the cocaine he had hidden under his stomach fat.”
He was still held Wednesday on bonds totaling $55,000.
