ALPINE, TX -- Brewster County Sheriff's Deputies say three Ukrainian men were arrested Sunday morning.

A rancher called the sheriff’s department to say three men came to him claiming to be lost hikers and tourists. They asked to use his phone. The rancher said he offered to call the sheriff's office for them, and then they took off running.

Brewster County officials were able to find the men and identified them as Oleksander Zelinsky, Vadym Berban, and Oleskii Storozhuk. Officials said they believe these men crossed the Texas-Mexico border illegally to enter the US.
