TEXARKANA, TX (arklatexhomepage.com) -- Police have arrested the man they believe threatened to set off bombs at Walmarts in Texas and Arkansas.

William Edwards, 46, was taken into custody over the weekend by Ashdown, Arkansas police. On Friday Edwards allegedly called in bomb threats forcing several Walmart stores to be closed for hours.

Because of the threat, stores on New Boston Road in Texarkana, TX, on Stateline Ave. in Texarkana, AR and the location in Ashdown all had to be swept for safety.
