Annual Focus on Access Gala
The Gala will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. @ The McKenzie- Merket Alumni Center, on the Texas Tech University Campus.
Hub City Access is a local initiative that was established in 2007 with the support of the Lester E. Wolcott Memorial Foundation and LIFE/RUN Center for Independent Living. Hub City Access was started by individuals with disabilities, healthcare providers and advocates, whose commitment was to promote community accessibility for ALL of Lubbock’s citizens and visitors, particularly for those with disabilities.
Your attendance at the Focus on Access Gala will support and further our mission to empower people with disabilities to fully access our Great City of Lubbock. In addition to recognizing community businesses and individuals that embrace this mission, Hub City Access will be honoring the Promoting Independence Award to two extraordinary individuals in the disability community whose personal accomplishments exemplify the spirit of independence and self-empowerment. Each recipient will receive a $5,000 award, issued by the Lester E. Wolcott Memorial Foundation, to be used in the pursuit of attaining an educational, therapeutic or assistive technology goal.
Your sponsorship will make for a night of inspiration, success and a promise of a dream fulfilled for future years to come!
