Make-ahead Smoothies

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mixed fruit
  • ¼ cup Old-fashioned Oats
  • 1 cup Spinach and/or Kale 

 

Directions:

      1.  Take all ingredients and place in sandwich-size freezer baggie

      2.   Freeze until ready to make smoothie

 

3. When ready for smoothie, simply place contents of baggie in a blender – add 1 cup     of your choice:

·        ½ cup Non-fat Milk

·        ½ cup yogurt (No sugar added)

·        ½ cup 100% Apple Juice (No added sugar)

·        1 cup ice

·        1/2 cup water

 

Other possible ingredients:

  • Chia or Flax seeds
  • 1 tbsp nuts such as Almonds
  • Peanut Butter
  • Protein Powder
