KAMC's "Wish Wednesday" series shares the stories of "wish kids" right here on the South Plains and gives you an inside look into the great things the Make-A-Wish chapter of the Texas Plains is doing for those kids with life-threatening illnesses.

Adrianna, 17, is a Plainview High School senior.

When she was 14, she was diagnosed with lupus.

After undergoing chemotherapy, dialysis and a kidney transplant, Make-A-Wish sent Adrianna on the trip of a lifetime.

It costs an average of $7,000 to grant a wish like Adrianna's wish.

If you'd like to donate, and remember all the money stays right here on the South Plains, contact Make-A-Wish at 785-9474 or visit www.facebook.com/wishlubbock.
