KAMC'S "Wish Wednesday" series shares the stories of "wish kids" right here on the South Plains and gives you an inside look into the great things the Make-A-Wish chapter of the Texas Plains South is doing for those kids with life-threatening illnesses.
4-year-old Caysen used to be able to walk and talk, but a rare disease called Metachromatic Leukodystrophy has taken away his ability to do those things.
While his family copes with the reality of his debilitating disease, the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted Caysen a wish his whole family could appreciate.
To see his wish story, click "play" on the video box above.
It costs an average of $7,000 to grant a wish like Caysen's wish.
If you'd like to donate, and remember all the money stays right here on the South Plains, contact Make-A-Wish at 785-9474 or visit www.facebook.com/wishlubbock.
