Our South Plains Preseason Blitz rolls on today with the Plainview Bulldogs who are getting set for life in District 4-5A.

Coach Ryan Rhodes begins his second year at the helm of the bulldogs that just missed out on the playoffs last year during their 3-7 campaign. Paxstyn Oldfield returns to lead the Bulldogs on offense and get the ball to some key returners at the skill position. Couple that with the eight starters returning on defense and the Plainview Bulldogs should be in the playoff mix in 4-5A.

"Well I think it's dedication and leadership ability," Rhodes said. "I think they are relying on each other to pull each other higher and higher and higher, and I think you can do some good things when you have that. Obviously we have some athletic ability, but it boils down to which teams can come together the best, and all be headed in the right direction, and I feel good about this group."

"Just the fact that we've gotten a lot stronger and closer as a team, it's exciting to see, just how far we have come. We'll see what we can do this year," senior linebacker Trenton Jones said.

"Just everyone's want, want to play, everyone's want to win," senior quarterback Paxstyn Oldfied said. "Everyone's getting after each other, wanting to get everyone better, and it's good to see."
