The Oklahoma Sooners ended the season last year as the talk of college football as Trevor Knight and Company dismantled the Alabama Crimson Tide 45-31 in the Sugar Bowl, carrying huge momentum into the 2014 Season.

The Sooners will have to replace six starters on offense including Damien Williams and Trey Millard, but they return unquestioned starter Trevor Knight and three seniors on the offensive front.

Over on the Defensive side of the ball the Sooners return 9 starters from the league’s top ranked unit led by a couple of underclassmen in Eric Striker and Zack Sanchez.

Those two factors have the Sooners ranked number one in a few preseason polls and will be a strong favorite to take home the Big 12 title with a favorable schedule that has Baylor, Kansas State and Oklahoma State all making the trip to Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

The Sooners certainly look to have all the pieces in place to capture their ninth Big 12 title, but as they have several times in the past, the Red Raiders could have something to say about it by the time they get to West Texas. A trip to the Jones could be the toughest road game on the Sooners schedule as they visit Lubbock on November 15th two years after snapping their three game Lubbock losing streak.
