The Red Raiders continue to make history, making their first ever trip to Omaha and they used pitching and defense to get it done in a pair of 1-0 shutouts against College of Charleston.
It’s hard to pitch much better than scattering 10 hits over two days and not allowing a single run. As good as the pitching was, the fielding was outstanding as well. Maybe the play of the year was made by senior center fielder Devon Conley laying out full extension to rob College of Charleston of an RBI, One of the biggest plays in program history.
