Most of our baseball teams around the area have finished up their pre-district tournaments and are just about to get underway with district play in the next week or so.

The Cooper Pirates hosting the Lubbock Christian Eagles tonight that would start out as a pitchers duel as Stephen Pagendorm dealt early on strikeouts.

Still scoreless in the 5th until the Cooper bats would come alive in the 5th. As Zak Odom ripped one to deep right center and got down to knock in a run to give Cooper the 1-0.

Later in the 5th, Braden Hayward shot one back up the middle that would plate another Cooper run. The Pirates lead 2-0 at that point.

The Eagles would grab two runs to tie it up but a walk-off hit by the Pirates would seal the win, 3-2.
