Cooper To Make Second Straight Trip to State Tournament

Lubbock Cooper was looking to avoid postseason elimination after getting crushed 11-1 against Iowa Park in game one of the 3A regional finals.

They would get back at it in game two at Driggers Field in Abilene.

Chase freeman and Mason Gilles would both drive in two runs in the second and third innings respectively to put Cooper up 4-0.

Iowa Park climbs back in it, 6-3 when Landen Kimbro drove in two runs to pull them within one.

Lubbock Cooper forces a game three with a 6-5 win. They would go on to upset Iowa Park also winning by a score of 6-5 in game three. The pirates are heading to state for the second straight year.
