The Coronado Lady Mustangs are at it again, up to No. 2 in the state having compil a 17-2 record. They are off to a 3-0 start in district play and trying to move to 4-0 against Abilene Cooper this evening.

Scoreless in the top of the 1st and Kaitlynn Dawson made sure to keep them off the board as she struckout Kaylin Farmer swinging to end the inning.

So the Lady Mustangs would head to the plate and with two on and one out for Taegan Kirk, she took advantage, driving one up the middle to score Quinn Fortner for the 1-0 lead.

Then it was Courtney Barnhills turn, she chopped one just past short to plate Bailey Walden as Coronado took an early 2-0 lead.

They'd only go five innings as Coronado shutout the Cougars 11-0 to move to 4-0 in district play.
