The Dallas Cowboys will play their preseason opener against the San Diego Chargers without Tony Romo who is coming off his offseason back injury.
Romo did not play in the first preseason game last year either. Brandon Weeden ran with the first team at practice and will do so in the game on Thursday night.
Most starters don't play more than a few series' in the first preseason game anyways, so the team is just concerned with getting better and not worrying as much about what the Chargers are going to try to do.
