Duke Wins First-Ever PGA Tour Win at Travelers

To the PGA and the final round of the Travelers Championship at River Highlands, Bubba Watson was among the leaders all weekend but dropped out, finishing in fourth place.

So who took over? Ken duke and Nederland, Texas native Chris Stroud who on the 18th made a tremendous shot from off the green for birdie and a share of the lead at 12-under, forcing sudden death with Duke.

In the second round of the playoff, Duke put the pressure on with a beautiful shot that lands the ball dead within four feet of the hole to set him up for birdie. But first, Stroud made his approach that landed on the green but bounces away from the hole.

Now for the 20-foot long, birdie putt to stay alive but he couldn't sink it, so, all Duke had to do was give it a little love tap which he would for birdie to win the Travelers Championship with a score of 13-under. His first-ever PGA win, and at age 44.
