District 4-4A baseball continues to heat up. Frenship and Lubbock High met in the rubber match this afternoon after the Tigers evened up the series in Friday night’s game, winning 6-5.

The westerners got them at their home turf today though, but it was Frenship pulling the trigger first Koby Claborn takes that through to left field, that would plate Chace Sarchet 1-0 Tigers.

Westerners gave a quick answer though; Chris York hit a chopper up the middle. The throw to first was not in time so Cory Schovanec came home safe, 1-1.

The next batter, Daniel James lifted one to center that would drop in for a base hit scoring Jack Walter for the 2-1 lead.

Later, Devin Trevino got caught in a run down that he would beat out allowing Chris York to cross home. Lubbock High led 3-1 at that point.

But you can’t count out the Frenship Tigers. They loaded the bases when Riley Fitzgerald would get a free pass following hit by pitch.

This game would be a rally to the end and it was Frenship coming out on top, winning this thriller, 10-8.

The Tigers have now tied Lubbock High for second place in District 4-4A.
