District 4-4A softball team started district play on Tuesday evening as well and the Frenship Tigers started strong by edging Lubbock High 8-7.
Frenship was down one in the bottom of the 1st when K'leigh Arredondo ripped a double to center field, to put the Lady Tigers in scoring position.
The very next batter, Marissa Mirabal lifted one into center field for the RBI single, that would plate Arredondo and tie the game at 1.
In the bottom of the 2nd, Clarissa Gonzales continued the trend with the solo shot to take the 2-1 lead, as Frenship edges Lubbock High 8-7.
