Idalou and Muleshoe squared off in Levelland tonight.

It was scoreless in the second inning when Idalou's Alex Tarin sailed one back to the wall in right center. He would attempt a triple but the Muleshoe defense gunned him down to get out of the second inning.

The bats would finally get going in the bottom of the 4th when Kleat Smith ripped a double down the left field line scoring Branum Stephens to get on the board first, 1-0 Idalou.

Next batter, Zach Sperry following suit, driving in Smith with a double through the left side giving the Wildcats a 2-0 lead.

They would get one more before the inning was over as Sperry scored on a passed ball putting Idalou in front 3-0.

The Wildcats won game one, 5-0. Game two will be back out in Levelland Saturday with game three to follow if necessary.
